2019/02/14-15 - Successful R&I in Europe 2019 – European H2020 Networking Event

On behalf of the Ministry of Culture and Science of the German State of North Rhine-Westphalia, ZENIT GmbH and the Enterprise Europe Network cordially invites you to the




on 14 and 15 February 2019 at Van der Valk Airporthotel Düsseldorf.


For the tenth time, the conference invites researchers and entrepreneurs from North Rhine-Westphalia and regions in Europe to find new European research and innovation (R&I) partners for Horizon 2020 projects. About 300 participants from more than 20 countries are expected to attend the event.

Participants are invited to give a short presentation (ideas and/or results) with a focus on Horizon 2020 calls, where around € 30 billion are available from 2018 to 2020.There will be parallel brokerage sessions on seven topics:


Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)


Nanotechnologies, Materials and Manufacturing (NMM)

Innovative Public Procurement (PCP/PPI)

Circular Economy

Life Sciences



If you are interested in giving a short presentation on a European project (idea or results), you are invited to take part in the "Call for Presentations", the aim of which is to facilitate communication between the participants.

Speakers profit twice:

  • They have the opportunity to present their research topics and results to the auditorium of the specific workshop.
  • During the breaks there are networking booths for further discussions between presenter and audience.

Dr. Wolfgang Burtscher, Deputy Director-General for Research and Innovation, European Commission, Julien Guerrier, Director, Executive Agency for SMEs (EASME), European Commission, Isabel Pfeiffer-Poensgen, Minister of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia and Prof. Andreas Pinkwart, Minister of Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalization and Energy of North Rhine-Westphalia will hold speeches and provide input for the discussion.

The call for presentations is open until 14 January 2019! Join us and take part in networking for Horizon 2020. About 100 presentations are expected.
