07/10/2016 - Project KLIM-EKO partners' meeting
On 7th October, 2016, a seminar of a project Impact Assessment of Climate Change and Other Abiotic Environmental Factors on Aquatic Ecosystems took place at Lithuanian Energy Institute, where all of the project partners and researchers had gathered. During the seminar milestones of the project were discussed and the agenda for future workflow was set. The project is part of National Research Programme Sustainability of agro-, forest and water systems and aims to assess changes in environmental factors (water temperature, hydrological cycle and water quality indexes) and their impact on diversity and productivity of fauna in aquatic ecosystems. Moreover the project aims to provide an integrated impact assessment by taking into account a multitude of climate change scenarios and employing aggregated annual data.
The project is coordinated by the Laboratory of Hydrology of the Lithuanian Energy Institute in partnership with the Nature Research Centre (GTC), Vilnius University (VU), and Aleksandras Stulginskis University (ASU).
