The first international ENTRUST Conference will be moderated by two well-recognised professionals in their respective fields – energy expert Daivis Virbickas and science journalist Goda Raibytė-Aleksa. Their experience in energy and science communication will help create meaningful dialogue between researchers, innovators, industry representatives, and policymakers.
Daivis Virbickas, a consultant at LEI and energy expert, is a professional with many years of experience in the Lithuanian and European energy sector, currently advising on energy investment and business management issues.
“At a time when the energy sector is undergoing rapid transformation, people remain its most important driving force. The future of energy is being shaped by professionals who are developing innovative, sustainable, and environmentally responsible solutions today. Their knowledge, expertise, and dedication are shaping the energy system of tomorrow – one we can be proud of,” says D. Virbickas.
Goda Raibytė-Aleksa is a science journalist, communicator, and educator who promotes science in Lithuania. She is a freelance journalist, television and radio presenter, event host, and author.

Scientists can provide data and evidence, businesses can contribute the ability to rapidly implement solutions, and society can help direct those efforts toward the areas where change is genuinely needed. Raibytė-Aleksa.
The first international ENTRUST Conference, taking place on 8–11 September 2026 at the Lithuanian Energy Institute in Kaunas, Lithuania, will bring together researchers, innovators, industry professionals, and policy makers to explore technological solutions for energy transformation.
ENTRUST marks a new chapter by succeeding the CYSENI conference previously organized by LEI. As CYSENI becomes part of ENTRUST, its legacy and traditions will remain an essential part of the new conference.
