The GIFFT project, together with other EU-funded projects – H2GLASS and EVERGLASS – invites you to a joint online seminar on sustainable glass manufacturing and recycling.
As the glass industry moves toward climate neutrality, it is entering a decisive decade.
This webinar is an fantastic opportunity to explore how European research and innovation, including activities within the GIFFT project, can accelerate this critical transition.
This 90-minute session will showcase how collaborative research across different Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) is shaping the future of the European glass industry.
The session will be moderated by Simone Tiozzo (SSV Glass Research Centre) and will feature a keynote address from Bertrand Cazes (Glass for Europe).
Nerijus Striūgas from the Lithuanian Energy Institute will be presenting the GIFFT project, showcasing project partners’ work at the intermediate TRL 5 stage.
Project Presentations:
• EVERGLASS – Low TRL (2–3): Presented by Jozef Kraxner (FunGlass, Trencin University);
• GIFFT – Intermediate TRL (5): Presented by Nerijus Striūgas (Lithuanian Energy Institute);
• H2GLASS – High TRL (7): Presented by Chiara Caccamo (SINTEF).
Following the presentations, experts will join a roundtable discussion to explore common challenges, share best practices, and identify opportunities for future collaboration. The event will conclude with a short wrap-up and a participant questionnaire to gather your input.
